The “Armenia” International Festival and Competition managed to generate an interest among the connoisseurs of the classical music

The AGBU hall hosted a concert of Abgar Muradyan Duo (Lilit Zakaryan: piano, Davit Gyulamiryan: clarinet), the ensemble of State Youth Orchestra of Armenia. The concert was organized within the framework of the “Armenia” International Festival and Competition.

Compositions by Johannes Brahms, Camile Saint-Saens, Eduard Baghdasaryan, Claude Debussy, Francis Poulenc were presented.

Clarinetist Davit Gyulamiryan noted: “Within the framework of  festivals concerts are being organized. They can be thematic or not. Meanwhile our festival has already had a comprehensive meaning in its name. Within the framework of the “Armenia” International Festival world known musicians perform, only high level classical music is presented. We are very glad to be part of the International festivals like “Armenia”, Khachaturian festival. The Khachaturian International Festival has already gained international recognition and respect. I wish a good start and green path also to the 1st “Armenia” International Festival and Competition. Another project will be completed in just a few days. And the most delightful thing is that it’s real to organize such a high level project in our small country which is relevant to  international standards and could create an interest among the connoisseurs of the classical music within a short period of time”.

The organizers of the 1st “Armenia” International Festival and Competition are the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia and European Foundation for Support of Culture. It is held with the support of RA Ministry of Culture. The event is held under the high patronage of the first lady of the RA Rita Sargsyan.
